Fludioxonil granted maiden registration for control of cherry in China

Fludioxonil 40% SC filed by a Chinese enterprise recently was granted registration for the first time to control cherry gray mold. 

This is China’s first registration of fludioxonil for application to cherry.

Previously, there have been 19 fludioxonil registrations in China, covering applications to strawberry, Chinese cabbage, soybean, white gourd, tomato, ornamental lily, ornamental chrysanthemum, peanut, cucumber, chili, potato, cotton, grape, ginseng, rice, watermelon, sunflower, wheat and corn (applications to lawn and mango tree no longer valid).

The GB 2763-2021 standard stipulates 5mg/kg of MRL of fludioxonil in stone fruits including cherry.
